Faith Baptist Church provides Sunday school classes for all ages. Along with our morning worship services and D-Groups, we consider this weekly time as an essential part of our church's dicipleship aim. Our Sunday school hour begins at 9:45 a.m.

Children’s Sunday School Classes : children's department

During the Sunday school hour children are provided with biblical education that helps them to understand God's redemptive work, that properly places Jesus at its center. We use Lifeway's Gospel Project for Kids curriculum which traces the entire storyline of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation.

Teachers: Lily Haws and Jen Nixon (preschool-kindergarten); Carrie Cheng and Bunty Kreidler (grades 1-2); Wayne and Laura Dornbirer (grades 3-5)

Middle School & High School : youth wing

Jr. High/Sr. High Sunday school seeks to provide a space for our youth to grow and thrive in their spiritual development. This is accomplished through Christ-centered and Bible-based curriculum that encompasses both topical and bible book teaching. Students will be both challenged and encouraged to learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Currently, the teens are studying a series titles "Tune In: How to know and apply the bible", using curriculum by Regular Baptist Press. Here's a synopsis: Students will learn that tuning in to the Bible is worth it because it is God’s inspired Word. They will also understand the basic steps of Bible study and how to put them into practice. This course will equip them to study Bible passages on their own.

Teacher: Pastor Wes and Christina Harrison

CROSSwalk : room 311

The college and young adult ministry is called CROSSwalk and aims to provide a church home for this often overlooked age group and provide a place where their faith can grow and be put into action. Currently, the class is studying the book of Proverbs, using a curriculum entitled "Walking wisely in a foolish world" by Regular Baptist Press. Here's a synopsis: Solomon wrote that fearing God is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs is for those who respect God and desire to live for Him. Believers who study the book will find practical instructions for living in a foolish world. This course focuses on topics such as fearing God, purity, work, generosity, speech, honesty, and friendship.

Newcomers’ Sunday School Class : room 310

FBC counts it a great privilege to consistently welcome visitors and guests. The Newcomers' class gives visitors interested in finding out more about FBC a safe place to ask questions about the church's history, doctrinal position, and mission. While it is not a membership class, it is a wonderful way to get connected with others that are new to our community. The Newcomers' class meets for three successive weeks, approximately every two months.

Teachers: Pastor Matt and Krista Otto

COMPASS : room 207

The young couples' class is designed to address practical issues related to marriage, parenting, finances, communication, and growing in faith. The group is interactive and relational, with two couples extending leadership and mentoring. Currently, the Compass class is studying a six-week video series by Tim Keller called The Meaning of Marriage which covers the following topics:

1. Service: Marriage Isn't about You
2. Covenant: Created to Make Promises
3. Roles: Loving through Mutual Submission
4. Singleness: Strengthening the Spiritual Family
5. Sex: The Act of Covenant Renewal
6. Hope: Seeing the Great Horizon

Modern culture would have you believe that everyone has a soul mate; that romance is the most important part of a successful marriage; that marriage does not mean 'til death do us part, but merely for as long as my needs are being met; and that when serious differences arise, divorce is the best solution. But all of these modern-day assumptions miss what marriage is really about.

In this six-session video-based Bible study, Timothy Keller, along with Kathy, his wife of forty years, draws a profound portrait of marriage from the pages of Scripture that neither idealizes nor rejects the institution but points us back to the relationship between God and man. The result is a vision for marriage that is refreshingly frank and unsentimental, yet hopeful and beautiful.

Inductive Bible Study Class : room 209

2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (NASB).  Learning and applying the inductive Bible study method is a great way to abide Paul’s exhortation.  Whether you’re a beginner or rather practiced at the inductive study method, this Sunday School class is a great place to practice the discipline of accurately handling the Scriptures.
